HUMAN and SPIRITUAL formation of individuals, groups, and systems has always fascinated me. Throughout years of ministry, my work, research, gifts and passion have led me repeatedly back to this graced work which I understand as the privilege to collaborate with God's love in lives, in the world -- indeed, in all of creation.
Being WITH: In union with God, who is WITH us in Christ (Emmanuel) - this is the guiding image of the work I am about in each context. Informed by Franciscan theology and spirituality, by the deep symbol and amazing reality of the Incarnation; guided by my own experience with mentors and companions, and many other turns on the path....
I choose to serve through offering this "being with" in ways that support reflection, action & transformation -- and mission and compassion in the world.

MISSION = * John Paul II. Message for the XXXII World Day of Prayer for Vocations, 10/18/94.
a noble and authentic adventure* of collaboration with God's purposes and saving action in the world.
It is a participation
in the life and mission
of the Trinity:
with the Spirit and the Son, those “on mission” are continually sent forth and poured out
in order to make visible
and to proclaim God's transforming love in the world. Christian mission aims to bring to fullness God’s dream of freedom, life, unity, mutuality, justice, and love in history and for the future.
SPIRITUALITY =
Christian Spirituality is a way of life that flows from an ever deepening understanding of, experience of,
belief in, relationship with,
and commitment and response to God who is self-giving love (Trinity).
In the life of the individual or community,
it implies ongoing formation and transformation in that love for the sake of the world and, indeed, all of creation!
The invitation to this ongoing dwelling in who God is, and thus who we are,
is distinctly and preciously personal, and undeniably communal.
It is living and patterning one’s
(or one’s group’s) life
in that same pouring out in love
that the life of the Trinity shows us, especially expressed in the Incarnation and Paschal Mystery of Christ.
It is living more and more from an understanding of who we are (individually and communally) as God’s beloved ones, and letting that inform and engage our thinking, our action, our affectivity.
"As the Father loves me, so I love you. Live in my love."
John 15: 9

MINISTRY =
the action of proclaiming, serving,
witness and prayer.
It is a way of being present in the lives of others and in the world
that is an expression
of God's presence,
and is a participation in
the life and mission of the church
in the world.
In response to baptismal call,
Christian ministry is
a living out of discipleship of Jesus through the exercise
of particular gifts of the Spirit given, by grace, to the individual
for the sake
of the whole People of God.
